Motorized Boards: The Revolution of the Skateboarding Industry

Remember the days of skateboarding at the local park? You and all your friends had a blast trying to kick flip and NOT hurt yourself. Now that you’re all grown up, you probably shouldn’t spend all your time at the skatepark.

Luckily, thanks to some awesome innovation and ingenuity, you can hop on a board, head to work, and feel like a kid again at the same time.

Electric skateboards are here to stay.
Young professionals across the country are sick of either walking to work or being stuck in traffic. So rather than riding a traditional skateboard and being (unfairly) labeled a “punk,” these 20- to 30-year-olds are hopping on battery powered skateboards and are riding all over the United States.

The first time you hop on a motorized board might feel a little strange because you’ll likely be wearing your work clothes. But make sure you tell your 15-year-old skating self that it’s totally cool and it’s a way better ride to work than driving. After a couple of trips to and from work, however, you’ll be hooked and will look forward to hitting the road every day. "Casual skaters" are considered to be people who skate between one and 25 times a year -- but with motorized boards, as soon as someone takes their first ride, they will likely be hooked.

In addition to the commuting benefits of electric boards, they also offer plenty of recreational benefits.

Not only do these boards hit over 20 miles per hour, they are totally capable of riding on rough terrain. Off road motorized skateboards are certainly the first of their kind and could soon take off as being one of the most popular hobbies across the U.S. and the globe. Motorbiking has been popular for decades and thrill seekers are always looking for new ways to spend their time off roading. Thanks to the advent of off road motorized skateboards, we are likely going to see an influx of off road skate competitions, awesome videos, and riders across the country.

Whether you're looking for motorized longboards for relaxing rides, powered boards for commuting to and from work, or off road motorized skateboards for some all terrain fun, Evolve Skateboards has exactly what you need. Enjoy the ride!
